Who we are
Anne and Gene Vassel from Long Island, NY wanted their two boys to learn and appreciate veterans in their community. Their neighbor, Tom Heptig, a graduate from the Naval Academy and ex Navy pilot was their first “Thank you for your service” poster. Six years later, we have grown to thanking 55 veterans in our town. Other Ninjas4Vets chapters are in the works both on Long Island and throughout the country.
